There’s so much anger, negativity, and misinformation around the trans community coming from bigoted cis people. Multiple brands have been ‘boycott’ in the last couple of months alone for merely showing a trans masc person with top surgery scars. In reality, this surgery has a huge positive impact on the lives of those who get it, and has a minuscule regret rate (much lower than the average surgical regret rate). I had top surgery over 11 years ago, and I’m just one example of many whose life has been transformed and saved because I I could access trans healthcare. We should be hearing from trans people, and reading about the positive effect of representation, rather than seeing transphobes being given platforms to speak about things they know nothing about.
